Hi Matt and community.
I have been a coder since I was 15 and will be 59 this July. A lot has changed over the years technology-wise. I did spend a few years coding MT4 bots for FX but never really stuck it out (my work and personal life are quite demanding). Feb 2022 I started trading crypto with 3Commas DCA bots. First 3 months have been ok profit-wise. Late April/early May has seen most of my investment dwindle in value (down 50%) as the crypto projects (and many other markets, like stocks), crash. I'm busy manually buying the dips using RSI and making a little profit but would like to automate this (and other) strategies. Hence why I came across Matt and his Pine Scripting for Beginners course (which I've yet to go through). I've so many questions about Binance, 3Commas, and TradingView that I've not been able to find answers to yet and so am hoping to share my (limited) trading knowledge with this community and hopefully gain a few answers/insights in the process.
My ultimate goal, like many I suspect, is to develop/acquire a few consistently profitable strategies that can be automated (working full time I don't have the ability to sit and trade the markets). Not after millions, but a realistic solution to initially supplementing (and eventually replacing) my wage, so I'll have the freedom to pursue my interests (advanced energy systems) before I get too old :)
Anyway, hope to catch up with a few of you in this forum.
