Why does Pine Script not recognize my use of zigZag?

error code: Could not find function or function reference 'zigZag'

Can you help me convert either of the two Metastock formulas into Pine Script. I have spent much time trying but have run into one obstacle after another. Help will be much appreciated. Thank you.

Found out the Zig is fixed and proprietary to Metastock. Scratch the request.
